Dr. MacArthur (RB) received his PharmD from St. John's University in New York. He directed a 60-bed Phase-I unit for LAB Incorporated, and also worked for Sandoz Pharmaceuticals in Drug Safety and Product Labeling.
In 1994 he started Clinical Horizons Research, Inc, together with Louis Massaia. Since then, CHR has worked with major pharmaceutical companies, and start-ups to develop pharmaceutical and orphan drug products. RB started the Research Pharmacy at Columbia University and has directed its operation and expansion over the past 10 years.
RB is also an advisor to the NCI's Chemoprevention Branch. He is also an active member of the Columbia Institutional Review Board. He has participated in over 100 studies including Phase-I clinical trials, bioequivalence studies, pharmacology and toxicology studies and analytical development. RB is also an advisor to the NCI's Chemoprevention Branch. His expertise and research interests include early phase drug research, pharmacokinetics and dynamics, and research ethics.
