Dick's career spans 38 years with more than 24 years of leadership roles in the oncology focused biosciences. He is presently the Managing Director of TGen Accelerators, LLC. He started two biopharmaceutical companies, Triton Biosciences Inc. and ILEX Oncology Inc. (ILXO) and served as CEO in both companies for periods of 8 years each. In addition, Dick has served in executive positions at not-for-profit organizations, including the Cancer Therapy and Research Center (CTRC), The San Antonio Technology Accelerator Initiative (SATAI) and the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). Dick joined TGen in January 2003 as its Chief Operating Officer. At Triton and ILEX, Dick led teams that were responsible for the clinical development of multiple important therapeutic products; four or which are currently in the practice of medicine: Betaseron® for patients with multiple sclerosis; Fludara® and CAMPATH®, both for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia; and, Clolar™ for acute lymphocytic leukemia. In 2004 ILEX was acquired by Genzyme Corporation in a stock for stock transaction valued at approximately $1.0 billion. Dick also serves on the Boards of Directors of Parexel International (PRXL) and Xilas Medical.
