Products Under Development
The Company has in-licensed, and is presently developing, a novel Phase II drug candidate for multiple oncology indications which include genomic-based patient selection. Following a positive Phase II clinical trial in patients with sarcoma who had failed front-line treatment, the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) is conducting a multi-institutional randomized, controlled Phase II trial evaluating this agent in newly diagnosed patients with sarcoma. SMi plans to use its context of vulnerability approach to transform this drug into a molecularly targeted drug, indicated for the tenderloin-of-patients who will respond to this agent.

The Company also has promising ongoing pre-clinical programs based on a new class of potent Src inhibitors from MD Anderson Cancer Center and an anti IGF ligand technology in collaboration with the NCI. In addition, SMi is in negotiation with multiple pharmaceutical companies to partner additional clinical stage compounds.
