Systems Medicine, Inc. (SMi) develops oncology products by integrating predictive cellular pharmacogenomics with world-class clinical and regulatory expertise. SMi's vision is to develop oncology drugs for only the “tenderloin” of patients that are expected to benefit from any given drug, reducing the cost and time of developing a new oncology drug, and dramatically reducing the treatment failure rates.

Most oncology drugs on the market today work in only a small percentage of patients for which they are indicated and are thereby associated with high treatment failure rates (70-80% typically) and challenging side effect profiles. Because of the relative non-selective nature of oncology drug development, the landscape is littered with lengthy and costly development programs and, unfortunately, high development failure rates. SMi develops patient-selective therapies by defining the “context-of-vulnerability” for specific tumors and therapies allowing for treatment of only those patients most likely to respond to specific drugs or drug combinations. The Company integrates and translates extreme clinical insight and mechanism-of-action information directly into the selection of patients for clinical trials.  This integrative approach also drives SMi's design and execution of regulatory and commercialization strategies for SMi’s products and its partner’s products. The Company's business plan is to acquire clinical stage products, assess the context-of-vulnerability for those drugs, and optimally position those drugs for success in clinical development and commercial use.
